What resources (books, blogs, services, apps) did you utilize to help you go abroad & thrive abroad?

Local community friends, I volunteered to teach ESL at a church to Mexican and other Spanish speakers to have an understanding of where I was moving to. I used Facebook groups like Black People Living Abroad and Black People in Mexico, etc. YouTube was also a resource.

What's something you wish people would ask you about your life abroad?

How much better my life has gotten, and how much more I appreciate my life and love for myself.

What wellness practices/mindset shifts have you adopted to support your wellness, sustainability, and longevity abroad?

I truly understand that NO is a whole sentence. I surround myself with those on similar paths in life to me. I have all my health practitioners on my WhatsApp. I visit traditional healing places here in Mexico. I understand that I must remain humble, flexible, and adaptable as a guest in another country. This keeps me sustained and successful abroad.

What is the motto (affirmation, prayer, poem, song lyrics, etc.) that you live by?

What you want is on the other side of your fear.
