Meet Theresa

Theresa is originally from Jamaica and loves cooking and sharing her local cuisine in Mexico City. She moved to Mexico in 2013 and ever since has been cooking traditional Jamaican meals for friends and strangers, who became friends. A lot of locals were so curious about her roots and knew nothing much about Jamaica, so Theresa started hosting dinners from her apartment so that she can share more about the food, ingredients, and culinary traditions of Jamaica. She has established a business with the name La Xaymaca and due to the pandemic she offers takeaway, cooking classes, catering, and flourishing in the foreign gracefully.
