Tiandra shares her story of moving to Montevideo, Uruguay after only visiting one time, how she has found a sense of belonging, cultivated community, and navigated the Uruguayan immigration process.

Meet Tiandra:

Tiandra always wanted to live abroad. However, she wasn't expecting to get here so soon. Tiandra, born in the Midwest U.S., made the move across the equator in 2017 to the small country of Uruguay. Living in the country's capital of Montevideo, Tiandra is a copywriter and content strategist for tech companies within LATAM as well as other global companies.

Living abroad has allowed her to discover a more intentional and fulfilling lifestyle. During her time in Uruguay making meaningful connections with those she lives amongst has made her experience more profound and worthwhile. "There's immeasurable value and growth a person can gain when they decide to move to a foreign land. I hope more people consider taking the leap, even if for a small amount of time."
